Hold a piece of prehistory with this authentic Mosasaur tooth fossil, dating back to the Late Cretaceous period (~70 million years ago). These teeth come from extinct marine reptiles called Mosasaurs — powerful, predatory swimmers related to modern monitor lizards and snakes. With long bodies, strong tails, and double-hinged jaws, Mosasaurs ruled the ancient seas, feeding on fish, ammonites, and even other marine reptiles.
Each fossil tooth was recovered from the phosphate-rich deposits near Khouribga, Morocco, where they're found as a byproduct of large-scale mining. Sizes range from 1/2" to 1 1/4", with most falling in between. Minor imperfections like chipped tips are common and attest to their age and authenticity.
Your fossil is enclosed in a clear jar inside an acrylic display measuring approximately 5.6" wide. Perfect for collectors, educators, or anyone fascinated by the dinosaurs of the Cretaceous period.
