It was analyzed by the Department of Earth and Space Sciences at the University of Washington, confirming its lunar origin.

The fragment’s surface is a medium lunar gray with weathered brown patches, flecked with brilliant white mineral clasts and rare metallic grains—a striking combination rarely found in lunar meteorites. These clasts are remnants of the Moon’s ancient crust, forged in the violent impacts and volcanic processes that shaped our celestial neighbor over billions of years.
